Sunshine happiness!

Despite today having buckets of rain, I felt a sunny side needed to shine!

England is having a typical season, heatwave then rain.

A lovely pale blue, sponge on a bit of white and add a bit of white cloud. Small pin for the birds and add a sun! Positive nails ☺️.

Back to school...

School starts and I'm back to my nail polish designs :)

Are class can't have display boards, so we have been painting our walls and given all the kids their own chalkboards :)

Therefore I have decided to have a painter on my nails ;)

Flash photos in the dark, always look funny.

But hey I like them.

Also look at my friends nails, she did them at home by herself. There so good!

Simplicity

My auntie came round again, so I did her nails :) I'm fairly happy with these too!

The red is another Barry m :), the middle finger has a white base and I used Barry m's glitter nail polish (but being honest, it looks great but is a pain to get of your nails later!) the fourth finger, I painted white first, waited for it to dry then used medical tape to make the stripes, used a dark blue and painted it straight on. Using a nail tool I drew on the heart, but you can used a kebab stick, toothpick or tape to make a shape.

For my own nails this week I went simple :) it's the last week of school till summer and I wanted fun cute nails.

I love green :). The big spots are a gold Avon nail varnish (given to me) used the big end if a kebab stick and the little dots are a silver/gold/pink nail varnish that has no brand name, I used the nail tool as it has a small dotting attachment.

I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine as I can currently hear the rain coming down now.

Up till now.

Once a week, for a long time now I have done my nails in different designs.

I usually get;
Are your nails fake? NO. fake ones creep me out, my nails are 100% mine and real.
Where do you find the time? I make it... I guess I like to spend my time off from work doing my nails, seeing friends and normal things.

There are great sites that give awesome and cheap ideas.

I use, Barry M nail varnish, it dries quickly, colours can be mixed and they have a million colours.
For shapes and dots, I use a toothpick and a kebab stick, they work wonders.
Any effects can be done with a sponge too.
Medical tape works amazingly, you can cut it to shapes and strips, it doesn't tend to rip up your basecoat like normal tape.

I must admit that the photos are taken on my iPhone and I don't wipe of the excess nail varnish on my fingers skins, straight away. I find this may ruin the nail design, or ruin the other nails while removing it. I take a photo straight away, so it's at it's best.

I do get annoyed with them sometimes, but you make the mistake and learn to do it a different way next time.

I work in a school for children with special needs, so my nails may be kid like at times, or refer to kids/school things.

I may not have all the photos, but here are ones I have saved to my computer, I shall put up the photos each week to show my new design.

Christmas nails: most defiantly time for snow and snowmen.

Clouds and balloons: Just a cute and fun idea.

Newspaper: Simple put a plain, light colour on your nails, leave to dry, damp newspaper with a bit of water, press it onto your nail, leave it for a bit, slowly pill off and hopefully it'll be done. English newspaper, or try a different language like my green nails.

Blossom: Great for Spring. I love cherry blossom, so I felt this was a cute design, toothpick for tree and sponge for white.

Roses: I was not massively happy with these, but my friends liked the vintage feel, whatever that means.

Sponge time: Great fun to do, you could try more than two colours.

Simplicity: Basic, done with a toothpick, if you want those lines perfect, try some medical tape.

Mmm Strawberries: Tape used for the green, toothpick for the seeds.

Paint: What more fun in a classroom then messy paint.

I have a cat, whom I love, so why not show this, by doing cat nails.

Five little ducks went swimming one day: The kids loved this as I sang the song.

This weeks:
Well hey there sailor: Tape for the lines, however I was running out of white and it went lumpy, so I did get grumbly. The anchor, free hand with a toothpick.

Keep checking for more. Next week is half term, but will try a space theme.
